Here’s a link to one of the best medical photo files I’ve seen: http://www.dermis.net/doia/diagnose.asp?zugr=d&lang=e&diagnr=696120&t… The University of Erlangen in Germany maintains the database and it is an excellent information resource. Credit goes to Cassidys for finding it for us. One word of caution, these are medical diagnostic photos, and some of them are very graphic. If you have children about, you may want make sure they’re not nearby. Here’s another link to the NPF information page on Guttate: http://www.psoriasis.org/psortypes/guttate.html Not as good for pictures, but lots of good information. Regards, Janet

Damn damn damn–the RD said that is what it was–the derm never specified. It has gotten bad on my face too.  Sure hope the sun this summer helps.  The enthesis is getting far worse–not just my feet but the big tendons at the groin, my hands and wrists–just a rash–yeah right. — Ruada Appropriate, adequate, and ongoing pain relief for all who suffer–even in the Last Frontier of Alaska. > Anyone have a site link or URL for the best photos of Guttate on the web? > Thanks, > H. > Here’s a link to one of the best medical photo files I’ve seen:

I took my 18 year old son to a large teaching hospital when he first broke out this last week. It was terrible with lesions covering his entire body in about one week. They gave him a shot of cortisone and it started to clear in 2 days. Then 2 days later they gave him another and it is clearing even faster.  They also gave him a course of penicillin to knock out any residual strep.  We have our fingers crossed.  His face was partaicularly affected and a large butterfly rash was over his nose so they had to do blood tests and a punch biopsy, etc., to rule out lupus and some other things.  The spots on his face cleared in 2 days, the butterfly rash subsided about 90%. Luckily, there were top dermatologists at the clinic since it is a teaching hospital.  He was a textbook case and they enjoyed showing him off to the student doctors..  They were also very compassionate to him and helped him deal with it emotionally while preparing him mentally to cope with the idea that this could be lifelong.
